Montes de Encanto is an ecotourism operator in the Alto-Tâmega region of Trás-os-Montes in the north of Portugal. A team of biologists trained in nature tourism will introduce you to the natural and cultural resources to be discovered here. We propose a unique opportunity to ally leisure with learning. All our programs respect the tenants of sustainable tourism. You will discover the most genuine aspects of pristine environments where the man-nature interface is at its purest, places where disappearing characteristics of rural life are still evident and may yet be observed. We combine scientific observation of rare fauna and flora with wonderful landscapes, beautiful natural parks, local handicrafts, delicious food and wine, stories and traditions.
