Monuments

The aqueduct of ÉVora is a renaissance construction, measuring a total of 18 km. The most imposing part with square turrets and cupolas at intervals, lies between Sao Bento and the city. Designed by Francisco de Arruda in the sixteenth century. It begins at the foot of the Alto de São Bento and crosses part of the city of Evora.
