Bars and Discotheques

The Estado Novo Disco is a fashion landmark in Matosinhos nightlife. Located in the industrial southern part of the city, the warehouse conversion and restoration project was carried out by Álvaro Leite Siza Vieira, son of one of the great names in Portuguese architecture.
Within, the design is contemporary and sophisticated with a huge dance floor sectioned off by two partitioning walls. Evenings usually start off gently with a retro musical style before the pace picks up and the sounds of house and trance ensure the dancing does not stop. The bar on the first floor includes tables for those wanting a little chat as they enjoy their drink.
