Monuments
The Freixo de Espada à Cinta Mother Church was built in the 16th century by King Manuel I on the site of an old Gothic temple, having taken almost a century to complete.
The interior of this Manueline hall church is divided into three naves, separated by cylindrical columns, and is considered one of the first representations of this model in Portugal.
