The Rural Hotel of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the first wine hotel in Portugal, was created following the reconstruction of the old manor house, in full harmony with the nature, in this 120 hectares' property of the Amorim family.

Here, in harmony with nature and re-acquaintance with tradition, our visitors can accede the innumerable wine and agricultural activities and try the peace of the Douro Valley, with the guarantee of every possible comfort. Between the wine shop and the wine bar, the secular orchards and the walking tracks, the oil museum or the underground cellar, the winter garden or the shed and the magnificent swimming pool above the vineyards, all places are ideal to feel the vine, to drink a good wine or to taste the best one of the regional gastronomy.
