The Church of Nossa Senhora da Encarnação was built in the 18th century, in rocaille style, as can be seen from the interior decoration, in particular the altarpieces of the lateral chapels.
The church has a fine collection of 18th-century statues, including a statue of Nossa Senhora da Encarnação, by the sculptor Machado de Castro. The stained glass windows of the main chapel and the baptistery, installed in the 1940s, are by the Algarvian painter Joaquim Rebocho.
