Located to the north of Figueira da Foz, Quiaios Beach is long and flanked by vegetation covered dunes. The sea breaks in powerful waves at this point, sometimes representing a danger to swimmers. However, such conditions have proved popular with surfers and bodyboarders with various competitions now being held here.
