In July you can watch some high-quality performances at Largo de São Carlos in Lisbon.

The "Festival ao Largo" (Festival in the square) brings erudite art into the street - offering free performances including symphony music, ballet and theatre, with participation by the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Choir of the São Carlos National Theatre, the National Ballet Company and the D. Maria II National Theatre, amongst many other prestigious artistic groups.
