In june/july, piano music fills the medieval town of Óbidos.

The International Piano Festival brings to several municipalities in the West Region and to Lisbon a range of internationally renowned musicians. The programme focuses on keyboard music and presents a series of concerts/recitals with soloists, chamber music ensembles and orchestra recognised for their high artistic quality.

The Festival's programme, covering several centuries of music, with emphasis on Portuguese composers and interpreters, invites the public to share unforgettable musical moments.

An integral part of the Festival are the master classes of the International Piano Week of Óbidos - SIPO, which for the last 29 years have brought to Portugal master pianists and students from all over the world and which shall present to the public awarded pianists and the participants selected in master classes of the previous edition.
