Museums and Palaces

The Silk and Territory Museum, which opened on the 18th of August 2015, is located in Largo do Outeiro, in the historic centre of Freixo de Espada à Cinta, one of the only locations in the Iberian Peninsula where silk is still spun 100% by hand.

This space houses a silk-related collection and includes an exhibition and sales room featuring handcrafted pieces made by local artisans.

The ethnographic, archaeological, and geological archive of the former Museum of Territory and Memory is also stored here.
