The Museum of Prehistoric and Sacred Art of the Tagus Valley, located in Mação, is an important archaeological research centre in Portugal, recognised for its dedication to the study of prehistoric art.
The museum houses a vast collection of around 6,000 archaeological artefacts and is home to one of the largest libraries in Portugal specialising in archaeology.
