Tours and Other Tourism Services

The wine estate, Quinta das Escomoeiras is a tourism and agricultural enterprise whose main professional activity centers on wine production and rural tourism.  Perched above the west bank of the Tâmega River, in the foothills of the Marão Mountains, the estate extends 10.5 hectares, of which 3 hectares are vineyards and 6.5 hectares are forests and orchards.

The Quinta provides guests and other tourists with a tour of the vineyard and the wine cellar, along with a wine tasting of the wines made exclusively from grapes of this demarcated region, DOC (Denominação de Origem Controlada). Here you can taste what the earth has to offer, from vine to grape, as you experience the processes of winemaking and drink the nectar of the land surrounding you.  Our vines and fruit trees are free of herbicide treatments and, adhering to our standards of environmental commitment, we have incorporated methods of Integrated Farming.

Being a member of the Vinho Verde Route, Quinta das Escomoeiras joins forces with other estates, wine cellars, restaurants, bed and breakfasts and tourism companies to make a variety of activities and itineraries available that will certainly lend themselves to unique and memorable experiences in this spectacular wine region.  Among special programs, all centered around wine, there are wine tastings and visits to wine cellars, theater, thematic dinners, harvest festivals, guided visits to historical centers as well as a variety of tourist routes and other activities.
