Serpa Family Corte Real, stands near the churchyard of the Church of Vilarouco, this graceful and impressive solar (sec. XVIII), called the Royal Court or Manor House of the churchyard, now drive Manor house. It belonged to Col. Antonio Cardoso Serpa Royal Court, the military-Miguel, last commander of the militia of Trancoso and leading figure in the region. From its magnificent facade, Baroque style, stands a beautiful and rare stone weapons, which has the timbre of an earl crown. The manor house was restored as well as his private chapel (St. Teresa), the current owner Jose Carlos Pereira Corte Real - local poet and writer, man linked to folklore and the region's agriculture, direct descendant of former owners (tri-grandson). Between the Douro and Bent, one of the nicest places in the municipality of S. Joao da Pesqueira and Douro wine region, surrounded by beautiful vineyards, almond and olive groves here is a solar-to merit a visit and a relaxing break in a warm and familiar.
