Traditional Portuguese Recipes: Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato (Clams with Garlic and Coriander Sauce)
Other
Ingredients
- 1 kg Clams
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Bunch of coriander
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive Oil
Preparation
Prepare the clams, letting them soak in water with a lot of salt. Change the water several times so that the clams release sand.
Bring the olive oil to the heat and add the chopped garlic cloves. Let them braise for a while.
Add the clams, the chopped coriander and season with salt and pepper. Occasionally stir. When all clams are open, drizzle with the juice of half a lemon. Serve with the remaining lemon cut into quarters.
