It is now possible to visit the VASCO DA GAMA TOWER BABYLON 360º. At the top, 145 meters high, is a natural vertical garden, a bar that focuses on spice-based cocktails and an unbeatable view over the Tagus river and the city.

The rise is made through panoramic elevators and at the top, while enjoying a unique view, each window holds a piece of history or a recommendation, available through a QR Code. In each QR Code, you can find out a little more about what you see, but also about what you can still discover and enjoy. In Lisbon, but not only. There are tourist recommendations, historical contextualization notes and information.

As in many cities around the world, the VASCO DA GAMA TOWER BABYLON 360º is a mandatory stop in Lisbon. It's a viewpoint, but it's also a bar, with a carefully thought-out menu. The cocktails are inspired by spices from the East, going back to the history of the tower, built for Expo 98, which also intended to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the sea route to India by Vasco da Gama.

Vasco da Gama Tower is open every day. From Sunday to Wednesday it opens from 10am to 12am, and on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of national holidays it closes at 2am. The access ticket can be purchased online (www.vascodagamatower.com) or directly on site. It costs €10 until 6 pm, consumption at the BABYLON bar is not included in the price. From 6pm onwards, the ticket costs €15, but the value becomes consumable.

More than two decades later, Torre Vasco da Gama remains today the tallest building in Portugal. The tower, designed by the architects Leonor Janeiro and Nick Jacobs, remained practically intact, with only an adjacent structure having been demolished so that the hotel could be born there. The representation of a sixteenth-century caravel remains. At the top, the crow's nest from which sailors could see land. Although today the viewpoint is closed, through a transparent dome, when the Vasco da Gama Tower was inaugurated the viewpoint was open to the sky. From the top of its 145 meters, however, the view is quite different from that of sailors, but still 360º.
