Portugal wins more Michelin Stars in 2017
In November the Michelin Stars 2017 were announced for Spain and Portugal. This year 21 restaurants were distinguished in Portugal (7 more than the previous year) and a total of 26 Michelin stars were awarded. Two new restaurants were awarded 2 stars, Ricardo Costa at Yeatman in Vila Nova de Gaia and Benoit Sinthon at Gallo d'Oro in Funchal, Madeira. Portugal, the World’s Best Golf Destination 2016
For the third consecutive year, in 2016, Portugal was considered the World’s Best Golf Destination, at the 3rd edition of the World Golf Awards held at the Conrad Algarve Hotel. 314 beaches and 17 ports and marinas awarded Blue Flag in 2016
In the year that marks 30 years of the Blue Flag system, a total of 314 beaches and 17 recreational ports and marinas were attributed the distinction in Portugal in 2016, for the first time breaking the 300 barrier in terms of Blue Flag beaches.
