Maritime beach
Paimó Beach covers the large expanse of sand beginning about a kilometre to the north at the Alto da Estela river, where there is both a campsite and a golf course. With good support infrastructures, the Beach draws in the sunbathers, perhaps attracted to the somewhat calmer waters than at neighbouring beaches given the angle of the coastline works to deflect much of the force of the waves.
To the north, with fields dotted amongst the dunes, lies Aguçadoura Beach, calm and isolated but well-known to surfers given that it is considered one of the best in Portugal for this particular sport.
