Pedro e o Lobo
Restaurants and Cafés
Located in a former contemporary art gallery, balancing a sophisticated ambience in a memory provoking setting, Pedro e o Lobo restaurant opened it´s doors in August showcasing an innovative take on Portuguese cuisine. The food is in the creative hands of chefs Diogo Noronha e Nuno Bergonse, and the room is designed by arquitect Luis Baptista, also a partner in the venture.
The two chefs met in the kitchen of the prestigious Moo restaurant, in Barcelona, and soon joined hands with Lisbon in the horizon: “our vision is to take the Portuguese food language and build upon it
using a contemporary approach that will allow us to find new challenges”, they state. From their collective experiences in some of the most internationally renowned kitchens, Nuno and Diogo bring first class cuisine techniques and standards, now aimed at crafting an unique fusion between sophistication and simplicity.
Showcasing this very harmony are their Tepid Iberian Game Salad with Apple Mayonasse and Island Cheese, or their Pancetta wrapped Monkfish, served with velvetty courgettes glaze and a black olive Madeleine. For desert they promise a chocolate “glaze” with cardamom gelato, an unique flavor experience were different textures mingle with unexpected spices.
The wine menu embraces the chefs designs, ranging from all regions of Portugal, as well as some international references. In the Bar, a perfect rendez vous or relaxing area, you will find a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails to enjoy before or after your meal.
