Monuments
Considered one of the oldest religious buildings in the town, the Nisa Mother Church was built by the Knights Templar in honour of Our Lady of Grace.
The church has undergone several modifications over the centuries, the most significant of which was in the eighteenth century following the 1755 earthquake, which left much of the building in ruins.
Inside the church, which consists of a single nave, visitors may observe the gilded, carved main altar composed of seven altars, a wooden choir, and a sacristy on each side. The apse, which is separated from the nave by a decorated stone arch, bears the Cross of the Order of Christ.
