Monuments

This castle is composed of sections of wall and several 15C and 16C towers which crown the hill and look down over the town. The main gate ("Porta da Vila") and the Traitor's Gate ("Porta da Traição") have been preserved. This latter gate has a double opening, in keeping with the Moorish taste.
