Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Oliva
The church is the only surviving remains of the former Dominican Convent founded in 1633.
The decorated carved panel of the High Altar is in worship of St John, and dates from the 1730s. The walls of the main chapel feature polychrome azulejo panels imitating a sixteenth century tapestry. The sculptures include two seventeenth-century golden, adorned effigies of Nossa Senhora da Oliva and Nossa Senhora do Rosário.
The pilgrimage of Nossa Senhora da Oliva takes place in August.
