Museums and Palaces

Besides a section devoted to sacred art, which includes the beautiful ivory sculpture of Christ the Good Shepherd, the museum’s collection also has an important section dedicated to the defensive Lines of Torres Vedras and another section devoted to archaeology, most notably prehistoric jewellery, and one of the largest collections of mediaeval tombstones in Portugal.
