The project for the Encosta das Olaias residential zone was designed by architect Tomás Taveira and was distinguished with the Valmor Award in 1982. This is fairly compact set of buildings aiming to take the greatest possible advantage of the available space and stands out within the city's urban framework due to its exuberant forms and colours.
