Zoos and Aquariums

In the Lourosa ornithological park, close to Santa Maria da Feira, visitors will encounter over 1500 birds of 250 species - a unique situation that qualifies it as one of the most important ornithological parks in Europe, in terms of the preservation and reproduction of rare species.

This authentic museum includes various species from five different continents, in habitats that guarantee ideal conditions for their survival. Visitors will find rare endangered species, and other exotic species, such as the Ibis from Egypt, pheasants from Malaysia or cassowarys (one of the oldest birds on the Earth). A zoological garden with special inhabitants that should be observed with great attention.
