In the magical scenario of the Praia Formosa bay in the Island of Santa Maria - Azores, the International Music Festival "Maré de Agosto" brings together leading names from various countries. Mariza, Extreme, Angélique Kidjo, Tânia Maria, Selah Sue, Anthony Gomes, Michael Kiwanuka, Maria Gadu, among many others.

A stage located only 20 metres from the beach, hosting performances by leading names from the national and international musical panorama.  

Known for the "world music" identity, many artists from all around the world are represented in this renowned, high-quality event, that that has already celebrated more than 30 anual editions.
