The "Rota do Fresco" (Fresco Trail), an innovative cultural initiative for tourists includes visits to a selection of different examples of fresco painting on the walls of chapels, hermitages and churches in five municipalities - Alvito, Cuba, Portel, Vidigueira and Viana do Alentejo -, with the aim of promoting, preserving and revitalising this heritage.
