Animaris – Animação Turística, Lda. is a private company that concentrates its activities in Ria Formosa. Amongst our activities, we are responsible for a boat guided tour, where the visitor can observe nature while learning a little about the fauna, flora and the traditional activities related with Ria Formosa’s Natural Park. We also have a different tour, a pedestrian trail specially focused on birdwatching, where, apart from waders and ducks, we can observe the Purple Gallinule, the Flamingo and the Azure-Winged Magpie. Both these tours are hold all year around.

During the Summer Season, we also offer a Ferry Boat service from Porta Nova Pier in Faro to Ilha Deserta, the only completely uninhabited island on this Natural Park. On the island, the visitor can have a drink or meal in “O Estaminé” restaurant, which opens daily from April to September, and the rest of the year by reservation. Apart from this, Animaris is also the beach concessionary, having sunshades, chairs, wind breakers, canoes and paddle boats for an unforgettable Summer day.
