An attractive 19th century country house just 2 km from Estremoz with the liveliest Saturday market in the Alentejo.
There is a Moorish look about the whitewashed house with its arcades and shady porches and the mineral like towers rising from the rrof. Inside comfortable and colourful furniture and a fine collction of 19th century faience plates displayed on the walls provide a relaxing atmosphere.
Alongside the main house a paved yard with shady trees has tables and chairs for an alfresco drink enlivened by red geraniums in the pots and red bougainvillea climbing the whitewashed walls.
