Maritime beach
São Lourenço beach is on the island of Santa Maria, in the bay that gives it its name, and is a very popular summer destination. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful: an amphitheatre by the sea, framed by the hill slopes where vine is cultivated in small rocky plots that form a kind of grid resulting in a unique landscape.
São Lourenço Beach has white sand and excellent conditions for practising sports such as beach volleyball, canoeing and surfing, and its support infrastructure is also good.
