Tours and Other Tourism Services

We organise slow travel tours/ tourism experiences in the region of Coimbra (50km radius), Getting to know about the way of life of the people and the characteristics of the territory. These experiences are organized into 3 routes, the coastal route, the mountain route and the Coimbra city route. The itineraries, seasonal activities and an intense cultural life are included in the tourist activities. We are transported in a vehicle of 9 or 24 people, two meals included.

Schedule: 10:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m.: Personal accident insurance. Guided tour in English, French and Spanish. Price: 100 € person / day.

Coimbra activities and itinerary
Guided tour to the main monuments of the city, intercultural soirée in students’ republic, night tour bohemian life with photographic raid in fantastic places, guided tour to a local inhabitant of the city that demonstrates the way of life of Coimbra, participation in cultural activities of the city provided by different cultural agents.

Coastal activities and itinerary
Participation in Xávega art, visit to the salterns, shopping in Portuguese traditional fair. Observation and interpretation of the estuary, marshes and fields of rice culture of the Mondego river. Gastronomy (knowledge about the methods of cultivation, production and tasting). Enjoy the pleasures of a sunny afternoon that a river beach or Atlantic beach can provide. Sport fishing and lighthouse visit. Fossils observation.

Mountain activities and itinerary
Participation in the extraction of honey, roasted chestnuts and mushroom picking, gastronomy (preparation, tasting), unraveling of a pig, participation in the production of handicraft, shopping in Portuguese traditional fair, participation in the production of cheese, interaction with groups of pipers, interaction with folkloric and ethnographic groups. Interpretation and sightseeing of biological nature park and nature reserve, landscape interpretation from an observation spot and production and milling grain activity.
