The estate Quinta das Escomoeiras is hidden in the terraces of an enchanted land, a small paradise set on the banks of the Tâmega River, offering uninterrupted views of forest-covered mountains to contemplate exquisite details of the pastoral rusticity of the Minho region.

The magnificence of the landscape extends on into our love for welcoming guests, and those who visit feel the coziness, the freedom of being and staying at a refined place, yet still feeling comfortable and at home.

The estate proudly offers 9 themed rooms, in a variety of styles and sizes. This is a place which tantalizes each of the senses. From the start of the day, sitting at breakfast on the marvelous terrace with a view out into a wide sweeping canvas of green, you can savor our jams and natural juices made from fruits of our own labor.

Wine tourism is one of our fortés. As a member of the Vinho Verde Route, the Quinta provides guests and other tourists with a tour of the vineyard and the wine cellar, along with a wine tasting of the wines made exclusively from grapes of this demarcated region, DOC (Denominação de Origem Controlada).

Part of the network, Bikotel, the Quinta das Escomoeiras provides ideal lodging for bicycling enthusiasts. We have everything needed for guests taking part in bicycling touring. Such conditions available are a closed garage, equipped with tool kits and washing equipment. At the Quinta we also have several bicycles available to lend our guests free of charge.

Our location so close to the Tâmega River offers an excellent opportunity to go fishing and canoeing.

The Quinta das Escomoeiras is animal friendly. Pets are allowed to stay and visit upon request.
