Flor da Ponte
The rural countryside house Flor da Ponte (Flower of the Bridge) is located in Rio Torto (Twisted River), a mountain village situated 5 kilometres from Gouveia and 12 kilometres from Seia, pleasant routes that are rapidly done by car.
Rio Torto is a typical village from this region, narrow streets with parallelepiped paving stone and centenary granite houses. Here you can find remains from the past, such as a medieval bridge, “chafurdo” fountains and in the surrounded areas, it is possible to visit an anta /dolmens and visigothic graves. The village also provides to the visitors and inhabitants two caffes and one grocery.
In the country house Flor da Ponte you can delight yourself with a spectacular view of the Serra da Estrela Mountain, as well as, take the advantage from small corners of the outdoor spaces. Not only the house is located on the left bank of the Rio Torto water stream but also along the property there are cosy places with stools, benches, tables and hammocks.
