In July, the Festival of the Canals, a multidisciplinary event organised by the municipality, takes place in various locations around Aveiro.

As well as live concerts, this festival offers a wide range of artistic activities and shows, including theatre and puppets, as well as percussion shows, music-theatre performances, artistic workshops and recycling works.
