Protected Areas
The Vila do Conde Coastal Regional Protected Landscape and Mindelo Ornithological Reserve – which adopted the brand Naturconde and is inserted in the National Network of Protected Areas – boasts a very rich biodiversity. 145 species of birds, 14 of the 17 amphibian species existing in the country, over 300 species of invertebrates and 39 species of moss make their home here, as well three lusitanian endemic angiosperm plants (two species and one subspecies) – meaning they are unique in the world.
In order to observe all this life, we offer various paths, which will allow you to completely immerse yourself in nature. Along each of them you will find interpretative panels, as well as support and recreational facilities, which will provide relevant information and assist you along your hike.
