José de Sousa Winery, situated in a region with a great wine and gastronomic tradition, is a unique winery in the world and one of the oldest and most traditional wineries in Alentejo. Founded in 1878, it has an exceptional collection of big clay pots, some of which are still used today to produce the famous amphora wine.

In this winery it is possible to enjoy a unique and authentic experience between history, wines and Alentejo cuisine.

After the guided tour, in our tasting room, visitors can comfortably enjoy their wine tasting. We offer different types of wine tasting, which may be accompanied by excellent regional products. We also have a wine shop and regional products available, so the visitors can take home a souvenir of this experience.
