Hi, I'm Joana your local Beekeeper. My passion for bees began when I was seven and my grandfather took me for the first time to the apiary. I'm a 4th generation beekeeper and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about bees and beekeeping with others.
After introductions, we'll talk about how bees live, work and make honey.
This is a hands-on experience where you will put on a bee suit and have an up close look at the hives.
You'll hold a frame of bees and identify workers and drones and try to find the Queen bee.
You'll learn about the importance of the bees for the planet.
We'll have lunch made with ingredients grown fresh in our organic garden and in the end we'll taste different types of honey.
