Situated in the municipality of Oeiras, Caxias Beach is the closest beach to the city of Lisbon, benefiting from great ease of access, as it is close to the waterfront road and right in front of the train station.

This beach has three sandy stretches, the largest between the Giribita Fort (Forte da Giribita) and the mouth of the Lage Creek (Ribeira da Lage), followed by two smaller ones separated from each other by the Fort of São Bruno (Forte de São Bruno). With a beautiful landscape framing, Caxias Beach is sheltered from the wind and is usually bathed by calm waters.
