Other
The Ecopista (Eco-path) came about through the transformation of the old Bezerra Railway and can be travelled on foot or by bicycle.
The railway, which was mostly in use in the 1930s and 1950s, was one of the main routes to transport coal from the Bezerra mines to the thermal power station. It also served the old Lena Mining Land.
Its privileged location makes it the perfect place for hikes with striking views, whether over the Candeeiros hill range or between stone walls excavated to let the railway through.
The Ecopista intersects with other routes, allowing visitors to dive deeper into exploring the region's natural heritage.
