In a year that celebrates one of the most remarkable periods in the history of Portugal, the Serralves Museum presents the exhibition Pre/Post - Visual Declensions of the 25th of April, through which it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution.

Spanning the period between 1970 and 1977, in this exhibition we will be able to see how the arts expressed the revolutionary process (before, during and after) and its tensions and contradictions. Through about 300 little-known works, where we can see paintings, sculptures, photographs, films, prints, installations, posters or books, it will be possible to take a short journey through this pivotal political moment of a country that had just entered a new stage of its political history, leaving behind decades of dictatorship.
