The Casa da Música Choir, under the musical direction of Martina Batič, takes the stage of the Sala Suggia with the show Summer Perfume.

On the day of the equinox, nostalgia for the warm days and nights that are left behind start to emerge. So, with siblings Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, we heard the nightingales and the soft rustle of leaves blown by the breeze. The Swede Nils Lindberg brings the sounds of the forest and the smell of grass and flowers, while Wilhelm Peterson-Berger transports us to the green valleys of the mountains, where young lovers sing. Frederik Delius brings us music that echoes in the water on a warm night, and Benjamin Britten illustrates a party with fishermen, farmers and florists at the opera Gloriana. The program ends with a bouquet of English summer folk songs.
