The exhibition "Narratives of the Self, between the public and the private - Books by women artists in the Art Library Collection" has as its starting point the Artist's Book Collection and independent edition of the Art Library, then reflecting the research developed within the scope of the IHA/NOVA SEED-Project "Narratives of the Self in Books by Women Artists".

This exhibition establishes the connection between the History of Contemporary Art and Gender Studies, focusing on how feminist artistic practices in the area of artist's books and editions contribute to the emancipation of "female subjectivities", giving particular emphasis to heterodox auto-portraitistic and autobiographical discourses.
