Events

This year, Velas Cultural Week, organized by the Velas Cultural Association in partnership with the Municipality, takes place between July 4th and 7th. With the theme "Tourism and Our Natural Beauties", it has a varied musical lineup, with Calema, Noble, Zé Amaro, Pedro Mafama, Pete Tha Zouk and the local group Tributo. Every night, the entertainment continues in the Electronic Tent.

In addition to music, there are several nautical events and regattas, as well as various recreational and sports activities, such as exhibitions, children's entertainment, Popular Marches Parade and the traditional Rope Bullfight.
