Between the 27th and 29th of September, the Norte Surf Fest celebrates surf culture at Praia de Matosinhos and Praia Internacional, in Porto. This first edition promises to be a meeting for all those who love and frequent the region's beaches.

The highlight of the event will be the attempt to break the world record for the most surfers to surf the same wave at the same time. Organized by the Association of Surf Schools of Portugal, with the support of Turismo de Portugal, the event also promotes other initiatives, such as lectures with some of the main opinion leaders and international experts, training and education actions on prevention and aquatic safety, an exhibition on the evolution of surfing in Portugal and in the world and a school championship.
