Casa Antero de Quental hosts the exhibition D-Day, Battle for Freedom, which marks the 80th anniversary of the landing of Allied troops in France, on the beaches of Normandy, during World War II, a moment that marks the beginning of the long road to victory over Nazism.

The exhibition is based on the book of the same name by José Manuel Saraiva, where we can read how the action was set up – Operation Overlord. In addition to being a celebration of this historic moment, it is also an informative document, with photographs and newspapers from the time. The exhibition can be visited in Vila do Conde until November 2, 2024, with free admission.
