Monte da Memória is an ecological lodge in The Albufeira da Barragem do Maranhão Natural Park, in Avis, in the Alto Alentejo. In front of the village castle, just a stone's throw from the water, this Alentejo mountain house values nature, the local community, traditions, and customs.

Having just been rehabilitated, a bioclimatic project based on filigree work has made it possible to keep this house genuine and thermally comfortable.

With the capacity to accommodate up to nine people, this house consists of a living-dining room with a fireplace, a kitchen, three bedrooms (9 beds, 3 extra beds), two full bathrooms, a terrace, a pond, an olive grove and an ecological vegetable garden. The terrace, outdoor living, and dining area with barbecue allow you to observe the local fauna and flora.

When it's hot, the pond, shower, and river beach cool us off. When it's cold, the fireplace and stove keep us warm. The vegetable garden allows you to buy organic produce. On the neighboring land, sheep and goats make up the rural atmosphere.

Discover with us the best and purest of this Alentejo. Two hours from Lisbon by car following the N244 road, after passing through a rural dirt track in good condition for about 1 km, you will arrive at the hill, with parking right outside the house.
