The story "The Nutcracker and the King of Mice", by E.T.A. Hoffmann, inspired the author and director Fernando Gomes to recreate a beautiful musical tale, with musical direction by Quim Tó.

At the home of young Clara and Fritz, Christmas Eve reserves an enchanting adventure triggered by the arrival of Clara's Godfather, a former Magician and owner of a Toy Store. As a gift, Clara receives an unusual Nutcracker. After twelve strokes, everything transforms and comes to life to defeat the fearsome King of the Mice and save the Kingdom of Fantasy.
