This is the first monographic exhibition in Portugal by this celebrated American artist who, for more than 35 years, has created a vibrant work based on economy and stillness using materials traditionally associated with the domestic and feminine universes.

In addition to his iconic works, the exhibition will address lesser-known aspects of his legacy, such as his drawings, prints, wooden reliefs and conceptual constructions. Sandback's sculptures draw their power from the minimum, rigor and lightness. They are arrangements of wool threads, which unite design and construction. It is in the integration with the environment and the architecture that they happen.
