Between October 24, 2024 and April 20, 2025, an exhibition will be on display at the Museum of Lisbon that addresses the use of the image of Saint Anthony in advertisements and that follows the history of advertising in Portugal throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

There are several examples of the recurrent advertising use of the image and miraculous gifts of Lisbon's most popular saint gathered here. Posters, press announcements or labels reflect the taste of each era, always showing the close connection to the saint from whom everything is asked in difficult times.
