The Aljezur Sweet Potato Festival is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Aljezur and the Association of Sweet Potato Producers of Aljezur and aims to promote traditional flavors and knowledge, with emphasis on gastronomy, which includes dishes and sweets made with the famous sweet potato of this region.

This event celebrates the best sweet potato in the world, a product with unique characteristics with a protected geographical indication "Lyra variety", a genuineness that is conferred on it by the hard work of all the producers, men and women who make up the Association of Sweet Potato Producers of Aljezur. During the three days there will be moments of showcooking, lots of musical entertainment, various stand-up shows, among other moments dedicated to entertainment and gastronomy.
