Vivian Suter – Disco
Vivian Suter – Disco
Events
MAAT, in Lisbon, presents "Disco", an exhibition with more than 500 paintings by Vivian Suter – the Swiss-Argentine artist who explores the possibilities of painting and its relationship with nature.
Over the past four decades, the painter has been building a monumental work in Panajachel, Guatemala. In this exhibition – which is also the name of the artist's dog – she presents the culmination of this work, with more than 500 paintings, including 163 pieces exhibited for the first time. Vivian Suter's abstract paintings are the result of a daily, physical and emotional relationship with the materials and contingencies of nature in the place where she lives and works.
